What Was REALLY in The Restricted Section in Jurassic World?
If you think you know what’s inside the Jurassic World Restricted Area, think again. This area is completely off limits to almost everyone, including Jurassic World staff. Almost nothing was known about its existence, until today when I reveal what’s really hidden in this Restricted Area.
There are many areas on Nublar Island and Jurassic World that were never explored in the movies or Camp Cretaceous. For example, we know that Allosaurus and Carnotaurus were present on the island, but this was never made public or shown in promotional materials. Apparently, these were never displayed in the park and were kept in the Restricted Area.
An official list of what’s in the Restricted Area has never been released, but based on the evidence, we can speculate that there may be more creatures that they have hidden. For example, Jurassic World possesses Giganotosaurus DNA, which was used in the breeding of the Indominus Rex. This raises the question of whether they actually created a full Giganotosaurus and kept it in the Restricted Area.
Additionally, Spinosaurus may have been kept there as well. If you watched Camp Cretaceous seasons 4 and 5, you know that a Spinosaurus appeared, and this happened in 2016, a year after the events of Jurassic World. It is possible that Spinosaurus was transferred from Isla Nublar to Jurassic World, as we know that Mantop transferred dinosaurs from there to Isla Sorna.
There is other evidence that Spinosaurus may have been kept at Jurassic World, including a deleted scene in the movie Fallen Kingdom, which shows Spinosaurus appearing during a volcanic eruption. This almost confirms that the Spinosaurus was present on Nublar Island or at least intended to be kept in Jurassic World.
In addition to the Indominus Rex, another hybrid dinosaur mentioned is the Stegoceratops, which appears on Dr. Wu’s computer in the hybridization lab. The Stegoceratops is a hybrid between a Stegosaurus and a Triceratops, along with several other animals. In early drafts, a Stegoceratops was to be seen in a restricted area of the park, but this scene was cut to keep the Indominus Rex as the only hybrid featured in the film.
One of the first hybrids Dr. Wu created was the Scorpios Rex, also known as E750, which appeared in Camp Cretaceous season 3. This was kept secret by Dr. Wu, to the point that even Masrani didn’t know about it. It was the first hybrid in the world, predating the Indominus Rex. The Scorpion Rex was a ferocious creature that was kept in secret tunnels until it escaped and spread across the island.
Another little-known reptile that may have been kept in the Restricted Area is the Deinosuchus. We don’t see it in the film, but in Fallen Kingdom, a Deinosuchus skull appears, suggesting that it was once present on the island. Deinosuchus DNA was also used in the creation of several other hybrid species, although we never see a live Deinosuchus in the film.
Another species that is believed to have been kept in the Restricted Area is the Ultimasaurus, a hybrid dinosaur that was a combination of several different species including a T-Rex, Triceratops, Velociraptor, and Stegoceratops. While there is no concrete evidence in the film, many fans speculate that this may have been one of Dr. Wu’s experiments.
Another interesting species that many believe was once in the Restricted Area is the Titanoboa, a giant snake. Although there is no concrete evidence, Dr. Wu used snake DNA to enhance his hybrids to give them the ability to sense temperature, as a way to use the snake’s abilities.
In Camp Cretaceous, Tarbosaurus, a large dinosaur similar to the T-Rex, is also introduced. Although never officially seen in the film, Tarbosaurus may have lived on Isla Nublar before being released into the wild or killed off in a volcanic eruption.
Monolophosaurus also appears in Camp Cretaceous but has no place in the park. They may have been kept in the Restricted Area until they escaped in season 3 of Camp Cretaceous. Finally, we can’t forget the Indominus Rex, one of the most dangerous dinosaurs, which is kept in the Restricted Area, away from park visitors.
