In the new episode of *Hollyoaks*, Tony Hutchinson faces a complicated situation after his ex-wife, Diane, discovers his new relationship with Marie. Diane is heartbroken that Tony has moved on with his life and relationship with Marie, but she decides to accept the reality anyway.
She even suggests that Tony and Marie go on a date, to show that she is no longer angry and trying to let go of the past.
However, Tony and Diane’s son, Roow, cannot accept this. He is not happy to see his father preparing for a date with Marie. While at school, Roow and Alo, a classmate, discuss their parents going on a date.
When Alo reveals that he brought a bottle of wine to drink, Roow agrees to join in. The two secretly drink in class, but the situation becomes tense when Roow is caught falling asleep in class.
When John Paul, their teacher, discovers the bottle of alcohol in Roow’s bag, things start to get messy. Diane then receives a call from the school and rushes over to deal with the situation. She tries to contact Tony, but he doesn’t answer because he’s busy with Marie and has put his phone on silent.
When Tony finally realizes what’s happened and returns home, he finds Diane holding the bottle of alcohol that was confiscated from Roow. He mistakenly thinks that Diane has relapsed, as she had problems with alcohol before.
Tony, worried and heartbroken, hugs Diane to comfort her, thinking that she’s falling into the same old rut. However, Diane decides not to correct the misunderstanding and lets Tony believe that the bottle of alcohol is hers, in order to protect Roow from being blamed. She chooses to remain silent, not wanting to escalate the situation and make Tony feel even more hurt.
Diane was struggling with conflicting emotions, both worrying about her son and not wanting to hurt Tony as he was trying to recover from the shocks in his life. Diane’s decision not only showed her love for Tony but also showed her sacrifice for her family, even in difficult circumstances.
