Caitlin Clark Makes Her Opinion of Nelly Korda Extremely Clear After Pro-Am

Apart from being able to make her much-anticipated golf pro-am debut on Wednesday, one of the biggest takeaways for Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark during The Annika tournament in Belleair, Florida is the fact that she was able to rub elbows with some of the biggest names in the sport.

In fact, the Indiana Fever star actually got to team up with world No. 1 golfer Nelly Korda, who for her part, was coming off a neck injury that kept her out of action for multiple weeks.

Korda knocked off the rust on Wednesday to play a considerably impressive round of golf alongside Clark. So much so, that the WNBA All-Star had nothing but good things to say about the 26-year-old golf superstar as Clark made her opinion on Korda extremely clear.

“Golf’s hard,” Clark said when asked if she had picked up anything while playing with Korda. “Hard to replicate that fast. But no, she’s been incredible. She’s really cool, too.

“(She’s) somebody I’ve been watching and following for a while now, so it’s fun to be out here and get to see it. An up-close look at how she does things. Just so smooth and really good at what she does.”

For her part, Clark didn’t exactly turn in a mind-blowing performance on the course on Wednesday — definitely unlike the head-turning outings she has on the basketball court time and time again.

However, despite a shanked tee shot that nearly hit the fans, the 22-year-old ultimately held her own amongst some of the best golfers in the world. She earned their respect in the process, too.
