The Fever entered the Olympic break in July red hot and surging toward playoff contention, and they have had no trouble carrying that momentum over to the second half despite four weeks away from the court.

Caitlin Clark and Indiana are 3-1 since the break, including an impressive home win over the Storm on Saturday and a road victory over the Dream on Monday. A win over the Sun (22-7) on Wednesday night would be quite the statement for the Fever, who are currently in a playoff spot at 14-16.

Clark shook off an ankle injury against Atlanta on Monday and finished the win with 19 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, and only two turnovers to her name. The rookie is averaging 23.5 points per game over the four contests since the Olympic break, shooting the ball efficiently, and, most importantly, leading the Fever to wins.

Clark would very much like to keep that momentum alive against the Sun, who are 3-0 when facing the Fever this season.

Clark filled the stat sheet during an impressive first half for the Fever, scoring 10 points and adding two rebounds and three assists plus a steal and a block. She also dealt with turnover troubles, committing five turnovers after finishing Monday’s win with only two.

Clark also broke the rookie record for 3-pointers with her 86th of the season.
