BIGGEST Archaeological Find Since The Dead Sea Scrolls Just Discovered!

The most amazing archaeological discovery since the Dead Sea Scrolls has just been announced! What makes it special and what could it hold? Think you know everything about the early church? This video could change your perspective.

The Dead Sea Scrolls have been discovered that changed history and human beliefs. Now, a mosaic with the words “Jesus Christ” has been found, believed to date back to 230 AD.

It is the earliest evidence that Christians at that time affirmed Jesus as a divine figure. The discovery predates the Council of Nicaea, where Christianity was formalized under Emperor Constantine.

Greatest discovery since Dead Sea Scrolls,' Megiddo mosaic goes on view at Bible Museum in DC - JNS.org

Archaeologists say the mosaic is part of an ancient Christian prayer house, discovered in 2005 under the Megiddo prison area in Israel.

The discovery of this chapel provides evidence that Christians at the time not only spoke of Jesus but also worshiped him as a god. This contradicts the view of some that belief in Jesus’ divinity developed later due to political pressure and church organization.

The excavation was hampered by the prison built on the site, but after plans to relocate the prison were made, archaeologists conducted further research. Three inscriptions on the mosaic are considered to be very important.

The most prominent one reads: “The lover of the Lord Akepus has dedicated this altar to Jesus Christ as a memorial.” This is seen as clear evidence that belief in Jesus’ divinity existed very early, refuting the view that it only emerged after the Council of Nicaea.

In addition, other inscriptions mention contributions from a Roman officer and Christian women of the time. Images of fish, a symbol of ancient Christianity, were also found on the mosaic, which is related to the story of Jesus calling his disciples “fishers of men” (Matthew 4:18-20).

The area of Megiddo, where the mosaic was discovered, was an important center, with a long history dating back to 5,000 BC. It is also the location mentioned in the Book of Revelation as the site of the final battle between good and evil.

The discovery not only opens up new insights into early Christian beliefs, but also shows the degree of harmony between different cultures and religions in the area, including Jews, Samaritans, and Romans.

The discovery is an important step in proving that belief in the divinity of Jesus was not a later development but was established from the very beginning. It not only changes the perspective of archaeologists but also sheds light on many aspects of the history of Christianity.

What do you think about this discovery? Does it change your beliefs about Christianity? Leave your thoughts in the comments!
