Hollyoaks has confirmed a sinister plot to murder Abe Fielding, after he takes disturbing action against Cleo McQueen.
Abe’s violence against women has continued in recent weeks, when he sexually assaulted his new wife Peri after she grew suspicious of Cleo’s whereabouts over the last year.
Peri found the courage to tell her family about the rape and reported Abe to the police. During her interview, Leela came to the horrifying revelation that it was Abe who raped her at a party.
There wasn’t enough evidence to charge Abe, and he was released pending further investigation. Marie began to doubt her son’s version of events, though he managed to manipulate her when questioned.
Cleo so far hasn’t felt able to tell the police about her ordeal. But in scenes that will air next week, Abe is surprised to be arrested by Donny for kidnap.
He is questioned at the station but manages to twist the narrative against Cleo. He claims that he is the victim, and that Cleo forced him to protect her when she hid after Suzanne’s death.
Abe then takes shocking action and gives the police an intimate video of him and Cleo from while she was held captive – a video that Donny later shows to her.
Peri, Leela and Joel decide to search online to see if Abe has posted the video of him and Cleo. They are horrified when they find the recording, as well as another video of Peri.
While the others aren’t looking, Leela continues to search the website and, disturbingly, she finds a thumbnail of herself from the night of the party in the woods.
Meanwhile, Joel reports back to Cleo about the videos that has been found online. Refusing to be further humiliated, she is reluctant to go to the police, but she is eventually persuaded to do so.
But after she comes forward, Cleo is told by DI Banks that the entire website has now disappeared, though he vows to continue looking into tracking down the videos.
Later, Leela goes to see Mercedes, in need of support after a difficult few days. Mercedes gets a full picture of all the pain Abe has inflicted on the women of the village and decides that they only have one option left – to kill him.

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
