The Traitors

The Traitors winner Leanne Quigley hasn’t received a penny of £94,000 jackpot

She won a share of £94,600 in the epic final of The Traitors series 3, but Leanne Quigley still hasn’t seen a penny of it.

Fringe groomed to perfection and black eyeliner caked on, Claudia Winkleman returned to host the third instalment of the epic BBC murder mystery-style game show this January.

A series of gruelling challenges, shocking banishments, unexpected murders, and tense roundtable showdowns followed until just two were left standing.

Enter Leanne and fellow winner Jake Brown, who triumphed in the end to take home £47,300 each.

After ousting last Traitor standing, Charlotte Berman, and eliminating interior designer Francesca Rowan-Plowden and former British diplomat Alexander Dragonetti, they celebrated around the firepit after both of their Faithful statuses were officially revealed.

But while Leanne and Jake already have big plans on how they’ll spend their split of the cash, the former soldier has confessed that it hasn’t entered her bank account yet.

Speaking on This Morning today, Leanne, 28, was asked by Ben Shephard: ‘You have to wait for the show to air before you get your winnings; has it arrived yet?’

‘No, not yet, not yet!’, Leanne replied.

When Cat Deeley asked what she would be doing with the huge sum, she shared: ‘Well, of course, I mentioned that I would like to have another baby. I’d love to try for IVF again and give my little boys a little sibling.’

She added: ‘Also, we’ve got a wedding to plan now! I got engaged back in August, which is just the best feeling.’

Leanne also wants to ‘treat [her] family,’ saying sweetly: ‘My mum deserves it.’

Her comments come after she told Metro that she has lavish plans for exactly how she and her fiancée, Sophie, will tie the knot.

While they are yet to set a date, the loved-up couple are going to start planning ‘straight away’.

Leanne, who has toddlers Hudson and Harley, added: ‘The boys are only two. We’re really enjoying some family time. But yeah, we’re really excited.’

She finished filming the show last May and has had to keep the entire thing under wraps for eight months.

As for when she’ll get the money she won, last year’s winner had the same agonising wait.

Harry Clark stole over £95,000 from Faithful Mollie Pearce in series 2, leading to him being branded the ‘Ultimate Traitor’ thanks to his masterful lies and deceptive skills.

However, he did not receive the prize money until days after the final aired.

As for the first series, that also saw team Faithful emerge victorious, as Wilfred Webster’s cover was finally blown, allowing Meryl Williams, Aaron Evans, and Hannah Byczkowski to take home £33,000 each.

Meanwhile, series 3 winner Jake has said he would spend the money taking his wife Shannon on holiday ‘because she’s [his] biggest supporter’.

He also wants to give back to his parents, who have supported him with his condition.

During the show, Jake opened up about his cerebral palsy, which affects movement and coordination.

While he felt ‘ashamed’ of his condition when he was younger, he has now been praised for helping to raise awareness and be a positive role model.

An average audience of 7.4million tuned in to watch project manager Jake and ex-soldier Leanne (who told her fellow contestants that she was a nail technician) win The Traitors.

A celebrity edition of The Traitors is now in the works, with names such as Sir Stephen Fry, Clare Balding, Tom Daley, and Jennifer Saunders all rumoured to be heading to the Scottish Highlands.

Meanwhile, the BBC has already confirmed that the version of The Traitors that we know and love will be back for a fourth series.
