Dave, a 33-year-old medical sales representative, has a horrible approach towards dating. While it might be his sense of humor, it didn’t resonate with everyone and sometimes came off as rude and condescending. The Love Is Blind star asked one of his co-stars, Monica Danús:

While she laughed it off and responded with, “probably a lot, honestly,” other contestants didn’t take it as lightly. During his interactions with Lauren O’Brien, Dave asked how old she was. She proudly said she was 30 years old, to which Dave responded, “Okay. So, you’re no longer attractive.” Although he claimed he was joking, his comment came across as misogynistic. In his introduction to Love Is Blind season 8, Dave admitted to being shallow regarding his choice of women.

He acknowledged his work in the cosmetic industry—“surrounded by botox, fillers, facelifts, tummy tucks, and butt lifts“—had shaped his perception of women and his expectations for a partner’s appearance. He joined Love Is Blind, hoping to change this mindset. However, based on his remarks, especially towards Lauren (whom he later got engaged to), it’s clear Dave hasn’t reflected on his behavior and remains unwilling to break away from his rigid beauty standards.

During his pod interactions with Madison Errichiello, she asked Dave why he joined Love Is Blind. Dave said he hadn’t treated women well in the past. “To be brutally honest, I just have kind of been an *** to women in my previous dating life,” he revealed.

While he seemed self-aware and ready to confront his past mistakes, Dave’s actions told a different story. The way he talked to women in the pods made it clear the man who once treated women badly was still lurking beneath the surface. Dave came across as the kind of guy who would tear women down so he could build them again—which is a massive red flag.

He’s The Worst Participant

Dave should have never joined the Love Is Blind cast—he’s not in it for the right reasons. His dating tactics in the pods made it obvious he wasn’t looking for a serious connection. Throughout the first six episodes, he comes off as self-absorbed and insincere, and if the trailer is any indication, he might have a few controversial moments that only add to the speculation about his true intentions (via Netflix).

Although Dave claimed he was looking for a soul connection, it appears like he joined the Love Is Blind experiment as a personal challenge to prove he’s not shallow rather than find a partner.
