Not the first time Smith Took Notice of Juju Watkins
Smith is advocating for Watkins to start garnering the attention she receives. However, this is not the first time that Smith has promoted this stance. Back in December, Smith laid out a similar opinion while talking about Watkins’ incredible skillset and yet going under the radar.
Smith is adamant that Watkins starts receiving the attention she deserves, but this isn’t the first time the 57-year-old has brought up the USC star’s surprising lack of media coverage this season.
“We should be talking about [JuJu Watkins] the way we talked about Caitlin Clark last year,” Smith said. “JuJu is special, I’m telling you that right now. She is the package! She is gonna be special.” The First Take host’s opinion hasn’t changed over time, and there is no drop in the performance of Watkins as well.
