The Search for Noah's Ark | Giants & Aliens in the Book of Enoch

This episode of The Y Files is brought to you by PDS. Enoch warned the Giants and Watchers to repent or face God’s wrath, but they ignored him. The floodgates opened, and the Earth was destroyed, leaving only Noah and the Ark to survive. Five months later, the Ark rested on a mountaintop, and civilization began anew. Variants of the Noah’s Ark story exist in many cultures, but evidence suggests Noah’s Ark was real—so much so that the CIA classified this evidence for nearly 50 years. The Ark is older than believed, and Noah may not have been human.

James Bruce, born to a wealthy Scottish family in 1730, aimed to discover the Nile’s source, a quest akin to the race to the moon. After years of travel through Africa, he found a spring in Ethiopia and discovered ancient manuscripts, including the Book of Enoch. This book describes Heaven not just spiritually but as a physical place, suggesting Enoch might have encountered a spacecraft.

The Book of Enoch was dismissed for centuries, considered apocryphal, until it was rediscovered among the Dead Sea Scrolls in 1947. Enoch’s narrative includes an alien abduction-like experience where he is taken to Heaven by a being named Uriel, contrasting the common religious view of the afterlife. His detailed descriptions of celestial bodies and nature suggest advanced knowledge, raising questions about humanity’s understanding of the universe long ago.

Enoch discusses the concept of a “Book of Life,” which records all human deeds, similar to a surveillance database. He describes a place for the wicked, interpreted as a room of torture, and then enters the presence of God, who reveals the secrets of the universe to him. God needs Enoch as a witness to document the afterlife for future generations and to deliver a warning to angels on Earth.

In ancient times, God sent 200 angels, known as the Watchers, to observe humanity. Unlike typical spiritual beings, these Watchers were physical and taught humans various skills, like agriculture and medicine. However, they grew proud and disobeyed God by sharing forbidden knowledge, leading to corruption and violence.

The Watchers began to take human wives, resulting in hybrid offspring called the Nephilim, who were giant and cruel. This created chaos, as many humans imitated the Watchers’ behavior, furthering corruption. Enoch warns them to repent, but his message is ignored.

Seeing the rampant corruption, God decides to reset the world through a great flood, sparing only Noah, Enoch’s great-grandson. The Book of Enoch offers additional details about Noah’s miraculous birth and his glowing appearance, indicating he is special. Lamech, Noah’s father, fears his child is not truly his and seeks guidance from Enoch in heaven, who reassures him.

Noah is chosen to restart civilization after the flood, which, according to Enoch, is primarily aimed at the Watchers and the Nephilim, not all humans.

The discussion of Noah and his ark in the context of the great flood is seen as a way to remake the world. Noah was instructed to build a large ark to hold two representatives of every animal. Some explanations suggest that he only included two of each kind, such as gray wolves instead of dogs.

There are many theories about the nature of the flood, including the Black Sea flood hypothesis, which suggests that the event was not a global flood but rather a localized one. Skeptics argue that there is no evidence for a global flood, while some see it as a symbolic warning of justice.

Many cultures around the world have flood legends, suggesting that there may have been a common historical event. Some researchers believe that a great flood, perhaps caused by a meteorite impact or a solar flare, changed the landscape globally.

The search for Noah’s Ark continues, particularly on Mount Ararat in Türkiye. Several structures, such as the Durupinar site, have been proposed as the ark’s resting place. Evidence such as anchor stones and ancient settlements suggest the site’s importance. Researchers, including Ron Wyatt, have sought to investigate these sites and found signs that could be related to the ark.

During an investigation, Ron Wyatt and his team found a rivet-shaped metal object, indicating human intervention. They used ground-penetrating radar to detect underground structures, indicating that it was man-made. Wyatt believed they were exploring the remains of Noah’s Ark.

Wyatt discovered structures such as a fence around where Noah kept his livestock and an altar used for sacrifices. They even found the grave of Noah’s wife, but it was robbed shortly after.

The Turkish government has recognized the site as the landing site of Noah’s Ark, opening it to the public. However, there is much debate about the authenticity of these findings. Wyatt, who is not an archaeologist but a nurse, has made many inaccurate claims about his discoveries.

Researchers have pointed out that much of Wyatt’s evidence is unreliable and may have been falsified. The rocks believed to be from Noah’s Ark are actually local in origin.

Ultimately, while many believe in these finds, scientists are skeptical of their authenticity. Despite the thrilling stories of encounters with aliens and ancient legends, these still need to be verified.
