They STUNNED! NASA’s CHILLING DISCOVERY—Hidden Nuclear City Buried Under 100 Feet of Ice—Documentary

### The Mystery of Camp Century: The Forgotten Nuclear City Beneath Greenland’s Ice

In April 2024, a NASA research plane scanning the Greenland ice sheet made a startling discovery: A man-made structure buried deep beneath the permafrost. It wasn’t just ancient ice or rock, it was the remains of a secret nuclear base—a city lost to history.

#### Shocking Discovery Under the Ice

During a routine survey flight to monitor changes in the ice sheets, NASA’s ground-penetrating radar picked up unusual signals: straight lines and geometric structures that didn’t belong in nature. Upon closer inspection, scientists realized they had rediscovered Camp Century—a Cold War-era US military base that had been buried under more than 100 feet of ice for decades.

#### The Secret of Camp Century

Camp Century was built in 1959 by the United States Army Corps of Engineers. It was nominally a climate research station, but it was actually part of “Project Iceworm”—a top-secret plan to deploy up to 600 mobile ballistic missile launchers under the ice.

The base was designed as an underground city with barracks, laboratories, a hospital, a theater, a church, and even a barbershop. It was powered by the PM-2A mobile nuclear reactor—the world’s first portable reactor that could power and sustain life in the harsh Arctic climate.

However, there was a big problem: Greenland was under Danish sovereignty, and Denmark had a strict policy against nuclear weapons. The United States built the base without the official approval of the Danish government. When the Danish Prime Minister at the time, H.C. Hansen, upon discovering the discovery, faced a difficult choice—either expose the truth and confront the United States, or remain silent and maintain alliance relations. In the end, he chose the latter.

#### The Failure of Project Iceworm

Despite its ambition, Camp Century quickly faced serious technical challenges. The ice, which had seemed stable, was moving faster than expected. Tunnels were deformed, walls collapsed, and the nuclear reactor system was in danger.

In 1966, the project was canceled. The U.S. military quietly withdrew, leaving much of the facility, fuel, and waste under the ice. They believed the ice would bury everything forever. Information about the base was kept secret for nearly three decades, until 1995, when Denmark declassified documents, the truth was revealed. #### NASA Discovery in 2024

After nearly 60 years of being buried, Camp Century has once again been brought to light thanks to NASA’s advanced radar technology. The latest images not only confirm the existence of the base but also raise a worrying question: Are radioactive waste and abandoned fuel at risk of leaking into the environment when the ice melts?

This discovery not only rekindles the mystery of Camp Century but also reminds us that, amidst the thick ice of the Arctic, there may still be many secrets that have not been discovered.
