Seven days later, on January 20, 1996, three girls in São Pedro do Varginha saw an alien being. The creature was brown, had red eyes, and no mouth. One of the firefighters, Marco Chire, fell ill after coming into contact with the alien. Marco died shortly after, and the hospital could not determine the cause of his illness.

A large flying object appeared after the capture of the alien, possibly a spacecraft searching for the missing alien. The body of Entity One was taken to a military academy, and there were rumors that the U.S. military collected UFO debris and the body. In the end, the Brazilian government issued a report denying the incident, claiming that the extraterrestrial being was merely a homeless person and the other beings were a dwarf couple.
