1. Rex is optimistic
Having sat by his bedside while he was in a coma, Rex goes to visit Ste in the hospital. He wants to make amends and hopes that a positive relationship will form between them.
Rex tells Ste that he’s recently learned the truth about his family tree, connecting him closer to the village.
2. The new dad is revealed
Leah has told Ste that she’s going to university in America and has asked him to look after her new baby.
Ste makes a decision and tells Leah that he can’t look after her child. Tony then gives Ste a pep talk, reminding him that he’s never given up on his family.
Also next week, it will be revealed who the father of Leah’s baby is, and the secret dad will be left worried about their future.

3. Frankie and JJ meet
Frankie and JJ have a conversation, while Vicky watches on, concerned for Frankie. JJ pleads with his sister to tell the court that she was lying about his abuse in the upcoming trial.
But when he tries to use their late mum Suzanne to win her over, Frankie is frustrated and storms off.
4. Jack opens up
Jack is concerned that Frankie’s troubled behaviour could mean she doesn’t get justice. He has a plan to get JJ to plead guilty, which he explains to Pearl. Jack puts JJ in his place when he gets angry about being banished from the family.
Trying a different approach, Jack decides to tell JJ about his past. He explains that he committed accidental manslaughter, but denied it for years. Using this experience, he encourages JJ to face up to the abuse he’s inflicted on Frankie.

5. Abe makes plans
Abe and Peri, now in a relationship, plan to go away together for a few days. But he still has Cleo locked in a room in the flat, and he brings her supplies to last while he is away.
6. JJ collapses
On the morning of JJ’s plea trial, Frankie returns home having been out all night. There is some good news, as Jack tells Frankie that he thinks he might have made a breakthrough with JJ.
But the day takes a dramatic turn when JJ collapses in court and he’s rushed to hospital in an ambulance. Will he be okay?
7. Mercedes gets results
Mercedes is feeling positive about her upcoming chemotherapy results. But John Paul is worried, and he confides in his partner Jez about how much Mercedes means to him.
At the hospital, Mercedes puts John Paul on speaker to listen in as she receives her results. Misbah tells Mercedes that she isn’t giving up on getting her the treatment that she needs.
8. Frankie gets advice
After the dramatic events at court, friends Frankie and Vicky stay in The Loft overnight. Darren finds Frankie there the next day and tells her that they need to go to the hospital.
Later, Frankie and Mercedes have an emotional conversation, and Mercedes advises her to go and make amends with her dad.
9. Robbie wants help
Robbie and Freddie are fighting about who should have custody of Lexi. It is revealed that social services will be coming around to see Freddie and Grace.
Meanwhile, Robbie is planning a proposal for his girlfriend Vicky, and he asks Lexi for help to make it perfect.
