Hollyoaks fans ‘work out’ Leela’s secret baby daddy – and it’s not Joel or Abe
Leela Dexter recently welcomed a baby girl in Hollyoaks and fans of the Channel 4 soap are now convinced they've worked out who got her her pregnant after she dropped a huge bombshell
Hollyoaks fans are convinced that they know the identity of Leela Dexter’s newborn baby daughter – and it’s not her husband Joel Dexter or his brother Abe Fielding. The firefighter, played by Kirsty-Leigh Porter, gave birth to a little girl earlier this week. However, her husband Joel (Rory Douglas-Speed) was nowhere to be seen after he received a voicemail from his ex Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mukerrin) asking him to leave her alone.
As viewers know, Cleo is currently being held captive by Abe (Tyler Conti) in his flat, while her family and friends believe she’s in Bali. The voicemail caused Leela to become angry and she ordered Joel to leave. In a shock twist, Leela’s waters broke and Abe accompanied her in the ambulance. Leela gave birth to healthy baby with a strong heartbeat and Joel eventually made it to the hospital but things are not as they seem.

During Wednesday’s (November 6) episode, which is now available to stream on Channel 4’s website, Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) paid a visit to see Leela at home and she hinted that Joel wasn’t the father of her newborn.

Mercedes told Leela: “You need to tell Joel or it’s only going to get worse.” The new mum replied: “I should have told him when it happened and I didn’t so now I’m just going to have to deal with it.”
Reassuring her friend, Mercedes said: “He’s not going to up and leave you, he’ll understand. He’s a good guy.” Leela continued: “You haven’t seen how besotted he is. All he’s ever wanted is to be a daddy and now he’s got a chance. Mercedes, he’s already lost one baby I can not take another one away.”

Mercedes continued: “If you don’t tell the truth and that comes out.” Leela hit back: “It won’t. As far as he’s concerned, and everybody else, that baby is his.:
Taking to social media, one fan penned: “Possible Dodger that’s why he coming back in.” Another added: “Abe is too obvious so maybe it’s Dodger.” A third person said: “I think she had a one night stand with some random, who may well turn out to be Dodger?.”
It was confirmed that Danny Mac is set to make an explosive return to Hollyoaks in the new year as his character Dodger Savage, a decade since he last graced the Channel 4 soap’s village.

Speaking about reprising his role, Danny said: “After a decade away, I’m thrilled to be returning and reuniting with my incredible co-stars, old friends and a character very close to my heart.
“Dodger escaped, leaving a great deal behind. I’ve always wondered whether he could return and who he might have become in the 10 years since he ran away. Now that he’s back, there’s a lot to uncover, but one way or another, we will finally find out.”
Hollyoaks airs Monday to Wednesday on E4 at 7pm and first look episodes can be streamed Channel 4 from 7am
