Hollyoaks confirms JJ Osborne’s trial verdict in early streaming release
A decision is reached.
Hollyoaks has confirmed the verdict in JJ Osborne’s trial, in the show’s latest episode.
JJ was charged with the rape and sexual assault of his twin sister Frankie, and his trial has been taking place in this week’s episodes.
Things took a turn when JJ took to the stand and retracted the confession he previously made, claiming that Frankie would only give him her stem cells to treat his leukaemia if he made the video.
The Osbornes were anxious as the jury deliberated, but they didn’t have long to wait as a verdict was quickly reached, with Frankie and her family returning to court.
However, in today’s episode, before the jury could deliver their verdict, JJ broke down and confessed to his crimes.
“I raped my sister,” he told the court. “I abused her constantly. It wasn’t consensual. She told me to stop, and I didn’t. I’m guilty. I’m so sorry.”
JJ was then found guilty by the jury anyway, and he was sentenced to a two-year Detention and Training Order in a Young Offenders institution, as well as being placed on the sex offenders register.
Before he was sent down, Darren asked JJ why he put Frankie through the ordeal of the trial, and didn’t answer when JJ begged him to come and visit him.
The Osbornes returned to the village, and Tony offered to give them a taste of The Hutch’s new dishes, after he postponed the restaurant’s grand opening.
At the table, Frankie and Jack shared an emotional moment, as the family finally felt able to look to the future.
Ste asked Frankie for advice on how to support Peri, after she reported Abe’s rape to the police, and Frankie told him to make it clear that he believes her.
But as Darren vowed to protect Frankie going forward, his daughter received a follow request on social media from Kat – who is somehow involved in Rex’s sinister dealings.

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
