Amy Roloff, a star of Little People, Big World, has lived a life filled with both triumphs and challenges, showcasing resilience and determination. Born in 1962 in Michigan, Amy was the third of four children in a middle-class family. Her father worked for Ford, and her mother cared for the household.

Her early career took her to Silicon Valley in high-tech roles before she shifted to teaching early childhood education. Amy met Matt Roloff, also a person with dwarfism, and together they bought a farm in Oregon in 1990, creating a family haven for their four children: Zach, Jeremy, Molly, and Jacob. Life on the farm was challenging but rewarding, with Amy’s determination holding the family together.
In 2006, the TLC show Little People, Big World brought their story to millions, raising awareness about dwarfism while offering a candid look at their lives. Amy became a fan favorite, admired for her warmth, humor, and honesty. Beyond the show, Amy pursued numerous projects, including writing books, running an online bakery, and becoming a motivational speaker.
However, her personal life was not without struggles. Amy and Matt’s marriage faced challenges, leading to their divorce in 2015 after nearly 30 years together. Despite this heartbreak, Amy found new love with Chris Marek, marrying him in 2021. Tragedy struck again in 2019 when Amy’s mother passed away, a loss that deeply impacted her but also strengthened her bond with her father.
