After meeting her fiancé, Daniel, face-to-face for the first time, Taylor felt uneasy; she worried he looked familiar. The most important element of Love Is Blind may be how the cast answers the question, “Is love truly blind?” However, there’s more to the show than that one question. Viewers don’t turn off the TV as soon as the pod portion ends; fans continue to watch as the couples move their connections to the real world, where various factors test the relationships.

While some couples may break up due to a lack of physical attraction or chemistry, others break up or stay together for different reasons, such as lifestyle compatibility. Just because a couple breaks up doesn’t mean love isn’t blind.

For the daters, the point of the show isn’t just to make sure someone can love their personalities; the point is to find a genuine connection and build a life together. Taylor and Daniel seem to have a good foundation outside of the Instagram drama.

Frankly, dating is hard, and numerous dating shows on television today exemplify that sentiment. It’s unlikely Taylor would have gone on Love Is Blind if her real-world dating life was thriving.

While it’s possible Daniel knew he was attracted to Taylor before they officially met, they still share some important core values and hopes for the future. In the real world, daters usually acknowledge the importance of physical attraction, even if it’s not the only important factor in dating. Taylor shouldn’t throw away a genuine connection just because her partner had seen some photos of her.
