Four couples are set to get married in “Love Is Blind” Season 8, but it was revealed that another duo is engaged — though their story didn’t make it onto the show. Kylie, a medical student, and Brian, who runs a wine bar, found love in the pods and the Minneapolis residents walked away with a proposal.
“The connection felt really effortless. We had a very similar sense of humor and everything really flowed naturally,” Brian told Netflix’s Tudum. Kylie added, “We definitely hit it off with the small-town connection right away. We basically both [grew up] in the middle of nowhere, South Dakota, and come from farming families.”
As viewers know, the hopefuls aren’t allowed to see each other or discuss their appearances during the experiment. When it came to meeting face to face, Kylie told Tudum that she was happy with what she saw. “The lights were so bright, so I couldn’t see anything at first, but as we got closer, I was like, ‘Oh, he’s cute.’ For some reason, I was keeping my expectations low,” she said.
Although they weren’t featured on their season of “Love Is Blind,” Brian wasn’t too disappointed and said, “It felt almost like a weight off our shoulders.” Kylie told Tudum that she was hoping to see their romance play out on the small screen but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise, and the two continued their romance without the pressures of being filmed.
Kylie & Brian Went on Their Own Romantic Getaway
In “Love Is Blind,” the engaged cast members go on a trip to an exotic location to get to know each other and bond with the other couples. Since Kylie and Brian weren’t chosen to be featured on Season 8, they took the opportunity to go on their own vacation to Mexico post-show.
“Obviously you don’t think [your story is not going to be followed], but we always talked about going somewhere regardless,” Kylie told Tudum.
On March 5, 2025, Kylie shared an series of Instagram pictures of her and Brian enjoying their time off the show. Shots of the two included them on a boat and water skiing together. “A year of love, laughter, and memories… but still no Love is Blind reveal photo. @Netflix, we’re ready!” she wrote.

After Netflix opted not to show Kylie and Brian’s love story, the couple took it upon themselves to reveal their relationship on Instagram. In a joint post, Kylie wrote, “From the pods to reality — what a journey! Grateful for every moment, every lesson, and everyone I met along the way. Love Is Blind — you were a wild, unforgettable ride.”
As for the ones who are featured on “Love Is Blind” Season 8, fans can see if Monica and Joey, Devin and Virginia, Daniel and Taylor, Ben and Sarah, and David and Lauren make it down the aisle in the season finale, which Netflix will stream on March 8, 2025.
