New Ocean Formed In Africa… (WARNING!)
Scientists have just announced a shocking discovery: The African continent is splitting in two, and a new ocean may be forming right in the middle of the continent.
The process began in 2018, when a giant crack suddenly appeared in Kenya, measuring 50 feet deep and 65 feet wide, cutting across a highway and causing panic among locals.
The cause of this phenomenon is still controversial among scientists, but what is certain is that the cracks are expanding at a faster rate than previously recorded. Recently, researchers have discovered volcanic activity appearing right at these cracks, raising concerns about unpredictable consequences in the future.
Africa is gradually being torn apart due to tectonic activity along the East African Fault System. According to scientists, the Nubian tectonic plate (which includes most of Africa) is gradually separating from the Somali plate.
As the two plates continue to move apart, the Earth’s crust will thin, creating conditions for volcanoes and even a new ocean.
Although this process is very slow, at a rate of about 7mm per year, in the next 5-10 million years, Africa could split into two separate parts.
This would create major geographical changes, with countries such as Rwanda, Uganda, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of the Congo likely to gain new coastlines, while Ethiopia and Somalia risk losing parts of their territory.
Some believe that this event is related to biblical prophecies, such as those described in the books of Zachariah, Isaiah and Matthew. However, from a scientific perspective, this is a natural geological process, not related to any religious predictions.
Although this process could take millions of years, recent changes suggest that Africa’s separation is happening faster than previously thought. What will happen in the future is still a big question, but it is certain that our world will not remain the same as it is today.
