The Traitors teases twist ‘that could turn the entire game on its head’

In the most recent episode of The Traitors, Claudia Winkleman dropped a major hint about a final twist in the show.

The series has been a smash hit with viewers who have loved debunking theories as the traitors and faithful come head to head in attempts to win the game.

At the end of last night’s episode, a ‘coming soon’ preview clip showed Claudia explaining a major twist in the show.

She revealed: ‘One of you will win an extraordinary power that could turn the entire game on its head.’

Fans immediately began speculating about what this ‘extraordinary’ power could be, with some suggesting that the episode may have dropped some hints.

One fan theory suggested centred around a book that appeared on a shelf during the episode.

‘Next week on #TheTraitors there is a game-changing twist… and this book made an appearance tonight,’ said superTV247 on X, with an image of a book titled ‘The Seer’.

They went on to explain a possible meaning: ‘In the game ‘Werewolf’… “The Seer is arguably the most powerful and important Villager. The Seer targets a player, and the Moderator silently indicates whether that player is a Villager or a Werewolf. The Seer must then find a way to use that knowledge to help the Villagers, without becoming the next target themselves”’

‘The seer? A little shout out to my Werewolf girlies? #TheTraitors,’ said IvanBrett.

Fans were excited by this theory and many thought it would spice up the game.

‘Essentially, as per the roles in Werewolf on which The Traitors is based, The Seer will be able to know who is a faithful and who is a Traitor. Gonna get tasty #TheTraitorsUK,’ said CWinterford.

‘Oh my god they’re going to introduce a “seer” role. If like me you got into #TheTraitors because of the game ‘Werewolf’, you know!’ said moderndaydelboy.

Of course, the show is all about lying and misdirection so this could all be a red herring from show producers!

Friday night’s episode featured various emotional moments as the contestants opened up about some of the reasons they wanted to win the prize money.

Both Charlotte and Leanne revealed they would use the money towards IVF and both had struggled with pregnancy.

Alexander revealed that he planned to support a charity that helped his parents raise his late younger brother who had special needs and died at age 17.

Jake also opened up about his cerebral palsy at one point in the episode, explaining to Alexander that it meant he was had weakness on one side of his body.

Fans loved seeing the contestants get closer, which will only make the betrayals next week all the more dramatic.
