The Traitors fans shocked to discover bombshell truth about roundtable room

The Traitors dropped plenty of bombshells this season, from Lisa Coupland revealing she is really an ordained Anglican priest to Freddie Fraser and Francesca Rowan-Plowden not actually being related.
Then we had Traitor Charlotte Berman faking her Welsh accent and winner Leanne Quigley confessing she was a soldier, not an nail technician.
But the biggest shock to fans (aside from season two contestant Diane Carson’s Bafta-worthy moment revealed Ross was her son) has come long after the show ended.
Fans have just realised that the iconic roundtable, where the epic banishments and blistering betrayals have occurred, is actually unrecognisable during the rest of the year.
Claudia Winkleman’s murder mystery gameshow is filmed at Ardross Castle in the Alness, north of Inverness in the Scottish Highland, with the challenges taking place in the grounds and across the impressive venue, including the Traitors meeting in the turrets and discussing gameplay in the roundtables.

The venue, though not open to the general public, can be booked for events like weddings or corporate retreats.
Which means the roundtable room while The Traitors isn’t being filmed looks very different.

Sharing snaps of the vast, rectangular room with chandeliers and wooden beams and arches across the ceiling, fan account The Traitors HQ revealed on X: ‘This is what #TheTraitors roundtable room looks like when the show isn’t filming.’
‘It’s bigger than it looks on TV damn,’ one person, @WaiteMWT, replied, to which the account explained: ‘They build the roundtable set within the larger hall, which makes sense imo. The roundtable doesn’t need to be any bigger and the additional space is likely used for filming equipment/the crew etc.’
‘You’ll be telling me that place where that traitors meet to murder/recruit isn’t entirely real as well,’ another person, @El_Vim_Fuego, said, with the fan page replying: ‘The roundtable room is entirely real and sits within the castle. They just don’t use the full space and add a few walls. “That place” you’re referring to is called the turret and I’m not sure where that is. My guess is that it’s a small room in the castle or somewhere very close by.’

‘Wait so I could get married at the Traitors castle and make all my guests play as the entertainment,’ Meg commented.
‘Ya’ll should do a Harry Potter themed Traitors with the cast and fans,’ Angela added.
Ardross Castle was built in the 19th century in the Scottish baronial style and includes formal gardens and 100 acres of parkland on the banks of the River Alness.
The castle has more than 30 rooms for overnight stays, and can cater up to 120 guests for weddings.

Alongside enjoying the scenery (which boasts peacocks in the grounds) and maybe even recreating your own game of The Traitors, guests at the Castle can go fly fishing, hire mountain bikes, enjoy guided walks and go whisky tasting.
After hailing the prestige location as ‘beautiful’ ahead of the first UK series airing, Claudia said: ‘It felt sometimes like we were in a painting if that’s not too cheesy.
‘And on the first day the weather systems were bonkers. I mean, at one point I went on my weather app and it literally just said no idea mate good luck, take a bikini and a cagoule.
‘On day two, we saw a double rainbow and everyone was like oh my gosh, and the crew were crying, there were baby deer, there was beautiful heather, there were ancient trees, and an ancient loch.’
