The $5 million-worth WNBA star Caitlin Clark will participate in a Pro-Am event called the ANNIKA Drive, by Gainbridge, hosted by legendary golfer Annika Sorenstam. The ANNIKA is LPGA’s next stop and the event, scheduled to start on November 13, will take place at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida.
In addition to this, Caitlin Clark will also feature in the Women’s Leadership Summit panel before this LPGA Pro-Am event. Clark shared her excitement upon receiving the opportunity.
“I love golf, so the opportunity to play in the pro-am for a tournament with a legend like Annika Sorenstam’s name on it is so exciting…Gainbridge is a leader in supporting women’s sports, and that’s clear through their commitment to me, this event, Billie Jean King and Parity Week. I’m looking forward to seeing all the LPGA players on the driving range, being part of the Women’s Leadership Summit, and of course, teeing it up in the pro-am with Annika,” Caitlin Clark said ( via CBS Sports).
She added, “I don’t know what I’m going to do tomorrow. I don’t know what I’m going to do the next day. Maybe play some golf…That’s what I’m gonna do until it gets too cold in Indiana. I’ll become a professional golfer.”
Caitlin Clark also won the WNBA Rookie of the Year honors before teeing up in the LPGA Pro-Am event. Added to that, she won the WNBA All-Star. She plays for the WNBA team Indiana Fever after completing college in 2024.
