Caitlin Clark Gets Update on Future Teammate After WNBA Draft News
The WNBA recently announced its 2025 draft lottery results, giving fans a preview of where the top players will be selected next April.
Arguably the most popular team in the league, the Indiana Fever will be selecting at No. 8. Indiana ended the 2024 season with the No. 6 seed in the WNBA standings, finishing the year with a 20-20 record.
After they were eliminated from the WNBA playoffs in the first round, the Fever headed into the offseason looking to revamp its roster.
Indiana made its first WNBA playoff appearance 2016 this season and also secure its first 20-win season since 2015.
The Fever have the 2023 and 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year winners, Aliyah Boston and Caitlin Clark. They have fared well in the draft process throughout the past few seaoss and given their progress, it seems Indiana is only a few steps away from completing for a WNBA title.
During the 2024 season, all eyes were on Clark. She had immense pressure as the No. 1 overall pick in the draft and there’a chance she exceeded expectations.
Clark averaged 19.2 points, 8.4 assists and 5.7 rebounds during her rookie season. She was named a WNBA All-Star for her performance, after cementing herself as one of the best offensive weapons in the league.
The first-year star led the WNBA in average assists and led all rookies in average points.
Some of the top players in the draft that have the ability to come and make an immediate impact with Clark include Paige Bueckers, Azzi Fudd, Olivia Miles and Janiah Barker.
