Caitlin Clark Let Everyone Know Where She Stands Politically
Caitlin Clark is currently enjoying her offseason.
The No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft has been enjoying the offseason for a couple of weeks now. The Indiana Fever lost to the Connecticut Sun in the first round of the 2024 WNBA Playoffs. Clark, who was named 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year, averaged 19 points 8 rebounds and 5 assists per game, looking like a top 10 player in the league by the time the year was over. We can’t wait to see what she has in store for Year 2.
Clark hasn’t spoken out much about off-the-field issues, though she’s made it clear where she stands politically.
Clark liked Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris and Tim Walz, sending a clear message ahead of the election in November.
“I have this amazing platform, so I think the biggest thing would be to just encourage people to register to vote,” Clark told reporters.
“That’s the biggest thing I can do with the platform that I have and that’s the same thing Taylor (Swift) did.
“Continue to educate yourself on the candidates that we have, the policies that they’re supporting – I think that’s the biggest thing you can do. And that’s what I would recommend to every single person that has the opportunity in our country.”
Clark’s boyfriend, a college basketball coach, has also shown his support for the Democratic Party. Connor McCaffery, who played collegiately at Iowa, made it clear that he’s supportive of Kamala Harris, too.
It’s no secret as to who Caitlin Clark will be voting for in November.
