Caitlin Clark’s Subtle Response To Major WNBA News

Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark had a subtle response to winning Eastern Conference Player of the Week, although it’s clear that she’s ecstatic about getting the WNBA recognition.

On her Instagram Stories, Clark showed her reaction to the news by sharing a congratulatory post from her agency, Excel Sports Management. The post featured the Fever rookie’s stats (25.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 9.0 assists) for games played between August 15 to 25.

Excel Sports captioned the post, “The rook has been cooking. Congratulations [Caitlin Clark] for being named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week! #exceling”

Clark didn’t write anything on her post, but the fact that she shared the message speaks volumes about how she feels toward the honor.

Caitlin Clark definitely deserves the recognition. In the three games they have played during her Player of the Week run, the Fever went 2-1, beating teams with a better record (Phoenix Mercury, Seattle Storm) and only losing to the Minnesota Lynx.

Thanks to Clark, Indiana has a firm grasp of the seventh seed, as the squad is two and half games ahead of the eighth-seeded Chicago Sky. The Top 8 teams at the end of the regular season move on to the playoffs.

With her latest honor, Clark also boosted her case to win Rookie of the Year. Angel Reese is her closest challenger, but the odds strongly favor the Fever star at -2000 as compared to the Chicago Sky forward’s +700.
