Speedy Morman, a popular on-camera host, snubbed Caitlin Clark during his Thursday appearance on Angel Reese’s “Unapologetically Angel” podcast. The young star asked about Morman’s interests in women’s basketball, which led to a fun exchange.

After asking the journalist if he liked the WNBA, she wanted to confirm he wasn’t lying. Reese asked Morman to name his top five players in the league and he first named a player who isn’t in the league. After that, he mentioned six players but didn’t include Clark.

“Angel Reese, Flau’jae, shoutout to Flau’jae,” he said before Reese interrupted to say that Johnson wasn’t in the league. “Angel Reese, first and foremost, that’s my dawg. Sabrina [Ionescu] is like that.

“Shoutout to Sabrina. A’ja’s one of ones; shoutout to Stewie [Breanna Stewart] as well, WNBA champion. Shoutout to Jonquel Jones, also one of them ones. Shoutout to Lexie Brown, she’s one of them ones. Yeah, I love the WNBA.” (19:40 mark)

Caitlin Clark has made a strong impact on the WNBA with all the attention she brought following a terrific college tenure with Iowa. The No. 1 overall pick helped her team break attendance and viewership records during her rookie season for the Indiana Pacers.

That said, Morman went with plenty of veterans while also throwing Reese, a rookie, in the mix.

Analyst recalls Caitlin Clark showed her maturity from a young age

Besides being one of the most entertaining players in the league, Caitlin Clark also shows a cool and humble personality that has earned her plenty of fans. WNBA analyst Meghan McKeown revealed on Wednesday that Clark showed this maturity from her early college days at Iowa.

“It’s COVID, like, I hadn’t heard of Caitlin Clark before. She’s a freshman at Iowa. We get on this Zoom, and I was like, ‘Caitlin Clark is talking to me like she’s 30 years old.’ She was so well-spoken. She was so good at describing, you know, why her turnovers were really high early on. She handled it with so much maturity and poise.”

Despite her competitive edge and aggressive persona on the glass, people have often commended Clark’s humility off the court.
