See what happened when Simone Biles and Caitlin Clark met after Clark made WNBA history

Caitlin Clark Meets Simone Biles, Gabby Thomas After Indiana Fever Game

Olympic gymnastics legend Simone Biles and Olympic gold medal track and field star Gabby Thomas met up with Indiana Fever rookie sensation Caitlin Clark and her teammates after the Fever defeated the Connecticut Sun, 84-80, on Aug. 28 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

“the squad was ecstatic to meet Simone Biles and Gabby Thomas after our win at @GainbridgeFH. the reactions,” the Fever captioned a video posted on X, along with crying laughing and raised hands emoji.

In the clip, Clark says hello to Biles and Thomas in the tunnel after the game before they pose for pictures. Biles and Thomas then take photos with several other players from the team.

“They were so excited. Oh my god. It’s like usually the boys will just pass and be like, ‘Yo.’ But they were so excited. That was so cool,” Biles said to the camera afterward.

Clark also reacted to the meeting.

“lemme fan girl real quick,” she captioned a clip of her meeting Biles and Thomas on her Instagram story.

Biles and Thomas chose an exciting game to attend. Clark had a memorable showing, pouring in 19 points, including three 3-pointers, helping her set the WNBA rookie record for 3s, with 88 on the season.

It marked the first time Biles took in a WNBA game, but it wont be the last.

“EVERYONE WATCHES WOMENS SPORTS so happy to be able to go support! my first of many WNBA games,” she wrote while reposting the Fever’s video.

“First WNBA game of many! Had so much fun supporting these stars,” Thomas wrote on Twitter.

Biles attended the game after a triumphant showing at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. She won three gold medals — including one in the all-around — and a silver medal, giving her 11 total medals in her Olympic career, making her the most decorated American Olympic gymnast of all time.

She’s also playing it coy when it comes to the possibility of competing in the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles.

“You know, you never say never. The next Olympics is on home turf. So you just never know,” she said on TODAY earlier this month. “I’m just going to relax and see where life takes me.”

Thomas also won three gold medals in Paris and has already said she’s gearing up to train for the 2028 Summer Games.

“I’m going to go home, enjoy some downtime in Austin, Texas, with my dog, with my friends. And then maybe plan a little vacation before we get back to work,” she said on TODAY on Aug. 13.
