Caitlin Clark Shies Away From Answering Reporter’s Unexpected Question
Caitlin Clark is no stranger to the spotlight. After a standout career at Dowling Catholic High School in Des Moines and a record-setting run at Iowa, she’s now a central figure in the WNBA.
Although the regular season hasn’t started yet, the media buzz around Clark hasn’t slowed. Reporters continue to approach her with questions, often unrelated to basketball.
One recent topic that caught attention? Her fashion sense.
During a press appearance on Thursday, Clark was asked about her favorite style. At first, she hesitated. Sitting next to her coach and letting out a small laugh, Clark eventually offered a lighthearted response.
“I didn’t know we were gonna have fashion questions,” Clark said. “Well, Prada has become my favorite brand, everybody knows that. I don’t know. Honestly, I just kinda wear whatever my stylist tells me to. It makes it easy.
“It doesn’t have to always be stressful.”
These days, spotting what Clark and other WNBA stars are wearing before games has become almost as anticipated as the games themselves. A Prada miniskirt has become one of her go-to pregame looks.

Clark is preparing for her second season with the Indiana Fever. After earning 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year honors, she found her rhythm in June and never looked back. She appeared in all 40 regular-season games, averaging 19.2 points per contest.
Last weekend, Clark and the Fever returned to Iowa City for an exhibition game against the Brazil National Team. She played 19 minutes and scored 16 points, with her highlight being a deep pull-up three from the “Clark Logo” — a nod to the spot where she broke the NCAA scoring record.
The Fever open the 2025 regular season at home on May 17, hosting Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky.
