Caitlin Clark Praised for What She Did Before Fever Loss

Clark makes some dreams come true.

Over the weekend Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese dominated the headlines after their skirmish during Indiana’s 93-58 victory over the Chicago Sky.

The Fever dominated the contest as Clark became the fastest player in WNBA history to record three triple-doubles after adding 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in the win. The lasting image from the contest, however, was a hard foul from Clark on Reese after the latter pushed one of Clark’s teammates.

“Let’s not make it something that it’s not,” Clark said after the game. “It was just a good play on the basketball. I’m not sure what the ref saw to upgrade it, and that’s up to their discretion. It’s a take foul to put them at the free-throw line. I’ve watched a lot of basketball in my life, that’s exactly what it was. I wasn’t trying to do anything malicious. That’s not the type of player I am.”

Just a few days later Clark was back in the headlines thanks to what she did before a May 20 game against the Atlanta Dream. The Fever superstar point guard took the time to take photos and sign autographs for a number of fans ahead of the contest.

Fans couldn’t get enough.

“Caitlin Clark is such a sweetheart that woman who told her that her favorite thing is how nice she is,” one fan said.

“So cool for the game! This is what heros/heroines do, they INSPIRE!!!!” offered another.

“I agree with one of the fans: She really is so nice,” added a third.

Karma didn’t do her a favor during the game, though, as Clark and the Fever suffered their first loss of the season in a 91-90 defat. The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year dropped 27 points, 11 assists and five rebounds while finishing plus-5 while on the court.
